Hello, I am Pete Petersen. God has called me and my family to start the Gospel Light Baptist Church here in Hastings and the greater Barry County area. I am looking forward to all the wonderful things that God has planned for our church and the city of Hastings.

When I was 15 years old I was invited to church, where I realized that I needed a Saviour, and I accepted Jesus into my heart. Not long after that, I knew that God had called me to preach and I surrendered to His call. Since then, I have been serving the Lord at Battle Creek Baptist Temple in Battle Creek, MI. For 3 years I had the honor of serving as Youth Pastor.

In 2009, I married my beautiful wife Amy. God has blessed our family with 5 children (including our son Luke in heaven). We are looking forward to serving the Lord here in Hastings, MI.

I love this country, and I believe that God is still in the seeking and saving business. I believe God has done great things for our country, and can do great things today. I have not, and will not, come to conclusion that God is done with America.  My heart’s desire and prayer is that America would be saved.
